Mobile payments have no doubt become the most convenient and the easiest methods of making payments and receiving them today. Using a mobile phone, money can be sent in any part of the world to pay any type of bills within just a few seconds.

Making payments through internet on the PC with the help of credit cards and online banking has been around since quite some time now but mobile payments are much more convenient and easy since it can be done from almost anywhere.

The mobile payment platform of PayPal had been launched in the year 2006 and was called PayPal Mobile. Considering the popularity of PayPal, it was not really very shocking that they did spell trouble for the existing service providers of mobile payments. PayPal mobile payment is quite easy to use and has some good features which take mobile payments to a different level.

Even the developers and business owners who are serious about making their money through m-commerce jumped to this opportunity since they had a new way to collect their payments online and sell their products.

Today, PayPal has altogether a different section in their developer’s network which answers questions about how to add the pay now button to their mobile phone sites and applications.  

For using the PayPal mobile payment services, the users would have to have a PayPal account. Users would have to register for mobile payments and would have to create their personal identification number.

There is an automated system used by PayPal for verification of the PIN and then the mobile phone can be used. For sending payment to an individual, the user would have to text the amount and the phone number of the recipient to PayPal or would have to call a toll free number.

Users can also use PayPal mobile payment services in order to purchase services and products. Any product which is available with a Text to Buy option can be purchased and ordered through PayPal mobile payments.

The item number would have to be sent to PayPal, there would be a verification and the purchase would be done. Users can use PayPal mobile payments for their personal as well as business account and the normal fees for sending or receiving money would be applicable.

There would also be, of course, charges of the mobile phone operator for the text messages.
