Google Mobile Payments

Mobile payments have become a large part of the mobile industry. A large number of consumers today are moving towards service providers and phones that offer them the facility of making mobile payments.

A majority of customers today are willing to drop any service provider who does not offer them this service today. Stores today too have realized this and have stepped up their security levels in order to keep the data of their consumers safe.

Today, there can be no other method as convenient or as efficient and fast as mobile payments and transactions and therefore it is the most used service in mobile phones.

Google Mobile Payments

The largest talk in the world of mobile payments in the recent past has been Google mobile payments, which is better known as GPay. Today, there are dozens of mobile payments platforms available to consumers to choose from.

However, as the use of mobile payments increases in the next few years and as the demand for it increases, new platforms would be launched offering more convenience and better services to the users.

Basically, Google mobile payments is a system where a text message would be sent to the source which would contain the payment amount. The amount would have to be validated before it would get debited from the account of the user.

Then, it would be communicated to the end server. There would be a confirmation once the payment is received by the merchant.  Basically, what this means is that Google mobile payments is a platform independent system which can be quite huge if it ties up to Google Checkout.

It can do more for cell phone systems like what Paypal has done in the past for the computers. It can handle multiple types of payments, through auction, between person to business or between persons.

This type of mobile payment method can be used in various different scenarios like paying for goods purchased from vending machine, purchasing services or goods directly through offline retailers.

Google is also planning to launch a cell phone, which indicates that it is quite possible that GPay could be a platform independent system. It could end up being the exclusive GPhone offering which would give it an edge over the other cell phone operators by allowing mobile payments directly through the handset.

Today, there are several mobile payment platforms but not one which works in this particular method.

Google has applied for a patent and what this means is that the application of GPay is broader and independent of cell phone carriers or billing systems.
